Technical Information

The information below is for reference. Final order data is subject to the technical agreement and product nameplate.

I. Product Overview

The 2CY gear lubricating oil pump is a positive-displacement gear pump designed for lubricating oil and other lubricating oil-based media. It is mainly used in machinery lubrication systems, oil station circulation, fuel transfer, and general industrial oil transfer applications. The pump is suitable for lubricating oils with a viscosity below 10?E (about 75 cSt) and a temperature below 300?C. During operation, a pair of meshing gears creates a continuous suction and discharge process, providing relatively stable flow, compact structure, and convenient installation and maintenance.

Depending on the medium, the 2CY series can be configured with cast iron construction, stainless steel wetted parts, or copper gears. Stainless steel gear pump versions can be used for mildly corrosive liquids and some non-lubricating media; copper gears are suitable for low-flash-point liquids such as gasoline and benzene. In addition to standard motors, explosion-proof motors of the same specification can be supplied according to site requirements.

II. Product Features

Gear meshing transmission provides continuous flow, suitable for metered oil supply and circulation in lubrication systems.

Compact and simple structure, small footprint, flexible installation, and convenient maintenance.

Wide oil compatibility, suitable for lubricating oil, machine oil, diesel fuel, heat transfer oil, and similar lubricating media.

Optional stainless steel components, copper gears, or explosion-proof motors can be selected according to medium characteristics and site conditions.

Stable operation at low speed, suitable for equipment packages requiring steady oil supply and continuous duty.

III. Main Applications

The 2CY gear lubricating oil pump is widely used in machine tools, reducers, compressors, diesel engines, boiler auxiliaries, hydraulic stations, thin-oil stations, oil depots, and various machinery lubrication, cooling, and oil transfer systems. It is also applicable to petroleum, chemical, marine, metallurgy, power, and building material industries for transfer, circulation, or boosting of lubricating oil, fuel oil, and medium- to low-viscosity oils.

For heat transfer oil, low-flash-point liquids, mildly corrosive liquids, or non-lubricating media, model selection should be confirmed based on medium temperature, viscosity, corrosiveness, explosion-proof requirements, and sealing method. Specific material and motor configurations may be required.

IV. Selection and Operation Notes

The medium should be kept clean and should not contain hard particles, fibers, or easily crystallized impurities, as these may wear gears, bushings, and sealing parts.

Medium viscosity, temperature, and suction conditions directly affect pump flow, pressure, and motor power; actual operating data should be provided for selection.

Before startup, confirm that the pump chamber contains medium for lubrication and avoid long dry running.

The suction pipeline should be as short and straight as possible to reduce resistance and prevent noise, vibration, or flow reduction caused by insufficient suction.

For flammable media or hazardous areas, use an explosion-proof motor and suitable electrical protection according to site requirements.

V. Maintenance Recommendations

During operation, regularly check shaft seal leakage, bearing temperature rise, coupling alignment, and pipeline connections. If flow drops significantly, noise increases, or pressure fluctuates, inspect the filter, suction line, gear wear, and seal condition in time. Before long-term shutdown, clean residual medium from the pump chamber and provide rust and dust protection.
