Technical Information

The information below is for reference. Final order data is subject to the technical agreement and product nameplate.

I. Product Overview

This sanitary centrifugal pump is a single-suction, single-stage sanitary pump suitable for transporting various liquids such as milk, beverages, and alcohol. It is essential conveying equipment for the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The maximum intake temperature is approximately 200ºC. High-head models are particularly suitable for high-resistance systems, such as tubular sterilization units, yogurt holding equipment, and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems.

II. Structural Features

This series consists primarily of a pump casing, a pump base, and a motor, with components connected by bolts.

The support legs under the base plate are fully adjustable, facilitating installation without the need for a fixed foundation. The discharge outlet can be oriented vertically or horizontally depending on specific requirements.

The design features smooth transitions, a rigid structure, and thick-walled construction.

Regarding materials, all parts in contact with the product—such as the pump casing, cover, and impeller—are manufactured from AISI 316 or AISI 304 stainless steel.

The mechanical shaft seal is custom-made using high-quality stainless steel and silicon carbide, significantly enhancing wear resistance and lubrication properties while extending service life.

The motor features an IP55 protection rating, Class F insulation, and a wide-voltage design.

The pump casing and impeller are produced via precision casting, and all parts undergo surface treatment. Specialized tooling and fixtures ensure precise dimensional clearances during assembly.

The shaft seal area features an open design, allowing for the immediate detection of even minor leaks. This prevents overflow into the motor—even if a leak goes unnoticed for a short time—thereby protecting the motor's service life.

Precision-manufactured and resistant to scale buildup, these pumps are ideally suited for CIP cleaning.

The pumps feature a simple structure for easy disassembly, low noise levels, and high operating efficiency. They handle materials gently, meeting food hygiene standards while preserving the product's original flavor.

III. Operating Instructions

For installation, it is best to position the centrifugal pump below the liquid level of the suction source (if the pump is installed above the suction liquid level, it must be primed before startup). Before use, check that the impeller rotates in the correct direction, the inlet and outlet pipe union nuts are tightened, and the sealing ring between the pump cover and pump body is properly seated. Parts that come into contact with the product should be steam-sterilized before use to ensure food hygiene.

A butterfly valve should be installed at the pump outlet to control the flow rate. Avoid prolonged operation under overload conditions to prevent damage to the motor.

Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) cleaning immediately after use to prevent product adhesion. If CIP is unavailable, manual cleaning is required. For manual cleaning, first flush with hot water, then disassemble the unit and scrub all product-contact parts with a brush; rinse thoroughly with clean water and reassemble the components in the correct order.

If product is observed dripping onto the floor from behind the pump casing during operation, it indicates a leak at the shaft seal. In this case, inspect the mechanical seal assembly on the shaft; if the seal is severely worn or damaged, it must be replaced or resurfaced (lapped) before further use.
